Rev. Joong Urn Kim is an ordained elder of New York annual conference. He has served in parish ministries for 40 years in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. His last appointment was at the First United Methodist Church in Flushing, New York
where he served as the senior pastor for 13 years. Before his appointment to the First United Methodist Church in Flushing, he served as the district superintendent for Connecticut/New York district. He retired from active ministry in July, 2011. After his retirement, he taught at the Methodist Theological University in Seoul, Korea as a visiting professor for 2 years. He now teaches at New York Theological Seminary in New York City. A graduate of the Methodist Theological University in Korea, Rev. Kim also holds M. Div and D. Min from Drew University. He received numerous awards and recognitions from civic and religious organizations which include the Council of Churches if the City of New York and the Korean Association of the Greater New York. A grandfather of 4, Rev. Kim and his wife, AeSoon, live in Palisades Park in New Jersey.
Rev. Jong Sung Kim currently serves as the president of the Hope5L2F Foundation. Before joining the Foundation in 2014, he served with the General Board of Global Ministries for the last 17 years as Executive Secretary for Asia Pacific
region. His main responsibilities included coordination of Mission Initiatives program in Asia through which he is in charge of developing missions in countries where there is an absence or a limited United Methodist presence. Rev. Kim also served local churches in New York City and Connecticut. He was the founding pastor of the Korean UMC of Greater New Haven in Connecticut. Rev. Kim immigrated to the US when he was a teenager and grew up in Long Island, New York. He received the B.A. from University of Rochester and M. Div. from Drew University. He also completed the course work for Doctor of Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. He now lives in Wilton, Connecticut with his wife, Dr. Grace Kim, an Infectious Disease Specialist, and a teenage son, Joshua Kim.
Jennifer Oh serves as a Partnership Coordinator for the General Board of Global Ministries at The United Methodist Church. She dedicates her time to expanding ministry partnerships and strengthening the UMC's missionary
efforts in Cambodia. Jennifer works closely with missionaries to promote various projects, with a focus on strengthening youth and women empowerment and economic self-sufficiency. Prior to her current role, Jennifer served as the President and CEO of The Beautiful Foundation USA for five years. During this time she led the strategic direction of the organization, cultivated relationships with donors and spearheaded the launch of several grant-giving programs to support the community. Jennifer was recognized with the 'Standing Up for Justice Award' by MinKown Center for Community Action and also received a 'Humanitarian Award' from the American Conference on Diversity. She has three grown children and resides in Closter, New Jersey with her husband.
Dr. Caroline W. Njuki is retired from the active ministry of the United Methodist Church, and is now an independent consultant on Mission and Development in Africa. She presently serves on the Advisory Development Committee of
Africa University a United Methodist related University in Zimbabwe, represents the Nnabagereka Foundation, an organization to empower women and girls, and is the President of the Education Leadership Initiative (ELI). In her most recent assignment as Assistant General Secretary for Mission Relationships of the General Board of Global Ministries, Njuki was tasked with strengthening relationships within the denomination, between Conferences in the USA and Central Conferences in Africa and as well as with other partners. Njuki also supervised missionaries from different countries working in Africa. She has authored several articles including a chapter in a book ' Elder Care: International Perspectives.' She is a mother of two married daughters and grandmother, and cares for several orphans in Africa. She remains actively engaged in programs that seek justice, equality, and human rights. She has led workshops on gender equity nationally and internationally. She resides in New York City, and spends time with family and friends who reside in different parts of the world.
Rev. Hyo Shik Kim currently serve as a senior pastor at Rock Springs United Methodist Church and Chinese Mission. He has served as a consultant to AALM of GBGM. He was one of team members
who participated in start of first United Methodist Church in Mongolia. He also serve as a consultant to the Office of Congregational Development of North Georgia Conference for Korean/Asian Americans. He has served as a consultant to AALM of GBGM. He was one of team membersHe earned degree of M. Div from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He was an electrical engineer prior to his call into ordained ministry. He has translated "Five Practices of Fruitful Congregation" by Bishop Robert Schnase, "Selling Swimsuits in the Arctic" by Adam Hamilton, and "Sacred Cows Make Gourmet Burgers" by Bill Easum. Along with his wife, Byung Ae Kim, he lives in Dacula, GA. He has two children and two grandsons.
