Making A Difference
Cambodia Microfinance Projects
Loans that Change Lives ...
Jennifer Oh, Editor-in-Chief of Mission Journal,
visited Cambodia in March, 2017 Pepper Farm at Krek, Cambodia
Through Hope5L2F Foundation's Microfinance Progrm in
Cambodia which was established in May, 2015, Om Sen
Grocery Store and Thy Leng's Pepper Farm are growing at an
impressive pace.
Om Sen has expanded her grocery store with more items to
respond the need of the customers with a cost-effective
manner and earn income which can provide her children's
education and support their livelihoods. For Thy Leng Pepper
Farm, since pepper crop is one of the most profitable cash
crop in Cambodia, he planted 250 poles of pepper last year
and harvested and it offered his family financial security with
significant annual income.
In both projects, the growth of their businesses are making
them extremely capable of repaying loans. Successful busi-
nesses affect whole communities, and, Hope5L2F Foundation
hopes that a loan becomes so much more than a loan with
mutual concerns and continued partnership.
