Magnify God in worship.
On every Sunday morning at 11:00, we strive to adhere to what the Bible says in John 4:23, "True worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." We are trying our best to help people to experience God by making our worship to be inspiring.
Ask God for everything.
The Bible says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippinas 4:6-7) We have the Friday Prayer group, Sunday Morning Prayer group, and Daily Prayer Warriors in striving to do what the Bible says, "Pray continually!" (1. Thes. 5:17)
Serve our Community.
The Bible says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strenght and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbors as yourself." (Luke 10:27). Our first responsibility as the children of God, we must love God, but at the same time, we must love our neighbors as well.
Jesus also says, "A new commandment I give you; Love one another, As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34). It's a good thing that God blesses us, but that's not the end of it. Like a cup that is filled up to provide drinks for others, God "serves" us with His blessings so that we can share them with others around us. That is the reason that we try to serve our neighbors by participating the Ministry of Family Promise to help the homeless family, and the oversea mission to help the orphans and day care center in Liberia.
Teach and Learn more about God.
The early Christians as we see from the Book of Acts devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching (Acts. 2:42). The followers of Jesus mature in faith by learning together in community. We strive to develop fatih and grow in Christ-likeness through study and learning, and God is best able to form disciples when people do this together and not by themselves.
Evangelize the community.
Jesus commanded His disciples, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:19-20) Also, Paul says this to Timothy about God's desire, "God wants everyone to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim. 2:4) We have been called for the Great Commission. We are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are unchurched.
Relationship in small groups.
Early Christians in the Book of Acts engaged in life together through teaching, fellowship, communion, prayer, miracles, extravagant generosity, and corporate worship. They spent time together eating, learning, celebrating, sharing the Good News, and supporting each other. In addition, there are more than 50 "one another" phrases in the New Testament, which display other aspects of the community of believers.
For example, it was a place where people loved, forgave, served, bore burdens, encouraged, exhorted, prayed, equipped, spoke truth in love, confessed sins, and treated each other as precious members of one body. God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. How can we apply these "one another" references unless we are in intentional, close relationships with each other? God calls us to love, not in an abstract or superficial way, but in a practical and transformative way. It is difficult and inevitably messy to do it alone. So we are striving to build this small group so that our people can build up a relationship to mature in their faith journey.
