Worship Team

Worship Team is to work with the following ministry teams to establish an atmosphere conducive to inspiring worship so that JWUMC can fulfill "M" part of the vision. That is to Magnify God in Worship.

Visitors Follow Up Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to help first-time or repeating visitors feel welcome,

to learn about visitor's needs, expectations, and interests in regard to the congregations,

to help visitors to connect to the small groups to build up relationship with other members,

to share information about visitors with the church leader.

To serve this ministry effectively but not necessarily, the ministers with the Spiritual Gifts of Service, Evangelism, or Administration is needed.

Sanctuary Preparation Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to check the pre-worship check list and make sure that everything is ready for worship,

to prepare the chancel area for each liturgical season and the flower arrangement, and

to prepare the elements for the Communion or Baptismal services.

To serve this ministry effectively but not necessarily, the ministers with the Spiritual Gifts of Service, or Administration is needed.

Ushers and Greeters Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to help both visitors and members feel welcome,

to keep order and handle emergencies during the worship service,

to collect offering and keep them safe,

to handout the service bulletine,

to escort a visitor to a pew, and

to make sure that the visitors parking space is available.

To serve this ministry effectively but not necessarily, the ministers with the Spiritual Gifts of Servie, Administration, or Encouragement is needed. In addition, ministers need to be kind.

Children's Moment Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to provide biblical stories or children's sermon during the worship that will lead them to know more about God.

To serve this ministry effectively, the ministers with the Spiritual Gifts of teaching, wisdom, shepherding, encouragement, or prophecy.

Praise Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to lead pre-service praise,

to lead praise and hymn during the worship hour,

to prepare musics for special events, and

to arrange special anthem during the offering time.

To serve this ministry effectively, the ministers need to have the talent in voice and musical instruments.

Liturgists/Acolyte Coordinating Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to arrange people who will be doing the call to worship and the scripture reading part of the worship,

to arrange congregation to participate in congregational prayer and offering prayer parts of the worship, and

to arrange a child to participate as the acolyte.

To serve this ministry effectively but not necessarily, the ministers with the Spiritual Gifts of Service or Administration.

Technical and Multimedia Ministry Team has the following objectives:

to make sure audio/visual equipment is ready for the worship, and

to to operate the projector during the worship.

To serve this ministry effectively, the ministers who is technical and proficient with computers and MS Power Point.
